Welcome back to Shyft Dev Deep Dive, your go-to source for the most recent Shyft-wide features and technical advancements.

April was another momentous month for our development team, and we are more motivated than ever to keep this momentum going in the weeks ahead. Our priority remains on enhancing the user experience for the entire Veriscope community.

In April, our Product & Engineering team released two major updates, which are set to significantly improve the experience of VASPs using Veriscope:

  1. Veriscope Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  2. Bloom Filter for deposit addresses

Let's dive into the details of these exciting developments.

And as always, if you would like a demo or have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

Veriscope Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Veriscope IaC is a game-changing update that streamlines the provisioning and maintenance of Veriscope Machines, making it considerably easier for VASPs and Service Providers to manage multiple machines – one for each jurisdiction, for example.

Bloom Filter for Deposit Addresses

The Veriscope Bloom Filter for deposit addresses is another groundbreaking feature that allows VASPs to upload their deposit address book to their on-premises Veriscope Machine.

The Bloom Filter then limits (filters) new attestation events to those associated with addresses in their address book. No more sifting through countless attestations—VASPs can now efficiently pinpoint and isolate relevant ones with ease.

What’s Next?

Looking ahead, our Product & Engineering team is currently focusing on several key initiatives:

  • User Signing for unhosted wallets — expected mid to end-June

  • Smart Contract Fee Upgrade to enable VASPs and Service Providers to set the price of on-chain transactions and profit from the difference from the gas fees

  • Veriscope Smoke Screen: a status dashboard to alert and inform VASPs of the status of their Veriscope Machine

  • Veriscope SaaS solution for testnet. More details on it soon!

Final Note

In summary, our Product & Engineering team has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to enhancing user experience by concurrently working on multiple development initiatives. We will continue to push the boundaries of excellence.

That's all for this update. If you have any questions on the above, please contact us at [email protected]. And be sure to keep an eye on our Change Log at https://docs.veriscope.network/docs/latest/change-log.html for the latest updates and improvements.

Stay tuned for next month's edition, where we will bring you more exciting news from the development side of the Veriscope universe.
